A new territorial conquest

The jewelry line that carries Tarja Turunen's name tells of freedom and self-confidence.

Tarja Turunen has been blessed with more than just musical talent. The two year long hard work with the jewelry line is over and the final outcome is polished and seems to be the style of Nightwish's former star.
- I have always loved jewelry. For a performing artist they're as important as clothes, they have to fit the whole package and tell something about your personality, she told in the collection's display occasion.
What do the dark beauty's trinkets tell about?
- Self-confidence and freedom. They fit into everyday life as well as a celebration.
The baubles are made of silver. Tarja still considers gold too valuable for herself.
- Developing the collection was a big adventure for me. I was also intrested in jewels. I'd like to see how they're cut, she dreams.
The singer has distinguished by spending the hot summer in the studio, furthermore in a very christmas like athmosphere. She has been working on a christmas album, which release is followed by a consert tour later this year.
- Before that I'm going to pop in to my second home in Buenos Aires which I have missed. It's not a vacation, I'm going to dance lessons there and also teach my own students. I'll come back to Finland in November. Tarja thinks the passed year with happy thoughts despite all the fuss. She doesn't admit missing the Nightwish times. Though the fans will always have a special place in her heart. It's been a rewarding and surprising year. I have intentionally focused on classical music. Next year is a time for new things. Then we'll see if my solo career catches on.
